Training & Capacity Strengthening

Justice Initiative Foundation

Justice Initiative currently works with women life convicts and under trials in central prisons in Karnataka. They have been offering in-prison as well as post-release programmes to women with life sentences, including mental health workshops and creative expressions workshops, for helping them with their identity in order to reintegrate into society. FAHI is working with the Justice Initiative team to strengthen their capacity in expressive arts facilitation, co-creating and reimagining aspects of the program to better serve the needs of the women while in prison and once released.

Academy of Care, with Goethe-Institut Myanmar

FAHI will be supporting  Goethe-Institut Myanmar in its Academy of care programme. Academy of Care is a trauma-informed train-the-trainer program for people from different parts of Myanmar. It is a capacity development programme in the field of art, music and theatre therapy, which combines alternative practices and methods of psychology with creative forms of expression.

Other training programmes

FAHI intermittently conducts short training programmes with school teachers, health practitioners and other professional groups on how to use arts as a resource for their own health and wellbeing and in their work.
